Great article and analogies!  Love the work analogy because it's something that everyone can relate to!  I also love what you said about being too concerned with getting tapped will weaken your timing and game.  I think the understanding that getting "tapped" is a part of learning is so counter-intuitive especially for the beginner and it's great that you help your students recognize it.
